What is Kinesiology?

The word Kinesiology means the Science of Movement.  A technique known as muscle testing is used to determine how well your body and nervous system are working.  The practitioner  identifies where there are blockages in the body and where   there is under-functioning or over- functioning of a body system.  Kinesiology allows you to identify what your body needs and what techniques should be used to help correct these imbalances, taking the guessing game out of diagnosis.

Kinesiology is a method of restoring the natural energies of the body using simple methods of therapeutic touch.  By "switching-on" the muscles of the body Kinesiology will work so there is improved balance.  It stimulates the brain and nervous system to be better integrated, improving co-ordination and reducing stress.   Kinesiology being such a versatile treatment method allows great flexibility in techniques and is developed to suit the needs of the individual. Being so versatile also allows treatments to be applied by the individual or by the practitioner. Some examples of techniques employed  include;
  • Muscle Balancing
  • Brain Integration
  • Food Sensitivity Testing
  • Emotional Stress Release
  • TMJ Adjustment

   The Temporomandibular joint

   adjustment is a simple,

   painless and effective

method that can be used to

   rebalance the jaw.

The TMJ plays a major role in

   painful areas,  such as

   sublaxation, jaw clenching

   and headaches.

Emotional Stress Release
Stress release is what Kinesiology       is   all  about. Mental, emotional,    physical, chemical, environmental      and behavioural stress are things    which cause our problems.

Kinesiology is a system where techniques have their greatest     effect. Every consultation in this      field includes techniques to relieve some kind of stress.  Various stress release techniques are combined      with  emotional balancing, massage techniques, visualisation, affirmations, tapping procedures and movement exercises.

Brain Integration
Brain integration works with aspects      such as learning problems by using electrical and circuit work.  Kinesiology    has developed many "switch-on" points   and techniques for the eyes, ears, co-ordination and for the brain as a whole.

This type of Kinesiology is particularly effective for students of all ages with study, concentration and learning difficulties.  It can also be appropriate     for concentration  levels in adults in their working world.
